Designer makers sell prints to companies, this now belongs to the company who bought it and therefore the designer cannot use this design again.
Ways in which I can protect myself?
- Place photographs of designs on a CD and post them to myself. When I receive them in the post, don't open them. The envelop will be stamped with the date it was posted on. If in the future copyright was a problem you can open it with a solicitor to prove you where the first person to design these.
- Use the 'copyright' symbol on the back of my work and name and date it.
